-
"The Treasure of God’s Word"- Dr Seamus O’Connell
This will help priests and all who proclaim God’s word to reflect in particular
on the current lectionary cycle and address some of the challenges preachers
of the Gospel face today.
-
"Faith in the Future – Resurrecting Parish Life" – Dr Enda Lyons and
Institute Staff
Connemara fishermen speak of An t-am – the right combination of
wind and wave to launch their boats. As a new century dawns, it is timely
to examine the future of Christian faith, rediscovering its core while
taking account of changing cultural realities. This conference will provide
participants with fresh insight into the enduring truths of Christian faith
while opening up new horizons for parish and community renewal. It is open
to all.
-
Jubilee: A Time to Heal – Lenten and Easter Reflections on Healing and
Reconciliation" – Institute Staff
As we begin the last Lent of this Millennium, the Church throughout the
world has been invited to engage in "a great pilgrimage to the house of
the Father whose unconditional love for every creature we discover anew
each day"(Tertio Millennio Adveniente). Our Lenten workshops of
three evenings will reflect on the following themes:
-
Paths to Healing and Wholeness: the Celtic Legacy
-
"As we forgive those who trespass against us" – struggling to leave hurt
behind.
-
Generously Offering the Sign of Peace - Healing wounds and forgiving debts

These workshops will provide practical ideas for celebrating the authentic
biblical understanding of Jubilee in a parish context. Each night there
will be a focus on theology, rituals and music relating to healing, conversion
and reconciliation.
Cut out this schedule and keep it for future reference!
