The Irish Theological Association
The Irish Theological Association was formed in order to foster theological studies in Ireland. It is ecumenical in orientation and includes members from all the major religious Churches in Ireland.
Our website aims to promote the study of theology and the discussion of issues of theological and religious concern in Ireland and in the world. It also aims to point those interested in theology toward other websites and resources that may be helpful. The website is happy to publicize lectures and events which would appeal to its members and to the general public.
Public Lectures and most events sponsored by the society are open to all. The Society also sponsors lecturers and discussions on theological topics for the benefit of its membership.
The Irish Theological Association Committee 2009/2010: Eugene Duffy (Chair), Tony McNamara (Secretary), Peter Kenny (Treasurer), David Kelly, Fainche Ryan, Yvonne Luven, Cathriona Russel, Tom Whelan and Amy Daughton.
Ordinary membership in the ITA is open to those who hold a graduate degree in theology. The current annual dues are 30 which are used to fund our lecture series, to support this web site and for postage. Associate membership and student membership is open to those with an interest in theology and is 15. For membership inquiries, please contact Tony McNamara
If you would like to help support this website or the activities of the Irish Theological Association, please contact our chairperson Eugene Duffy or the web editor, Peter Kenny.
